Kilpatrick also asked the board to reconsider its yearly contribution to Piedmont for the vocational training of Rappahannock students. “For this amount($88,502) surely we could supply the teachers and courses to replace Piedmont’s offerings,” Kilpatrick said. “And this would save the children the hour and a half-long commuting. With additional space at the high school, this problem could be solved as well.”
