Hubert Jenkins

County Native

Hubert Egbert Jenkins, 79, of Remington died on Saturday, March 5, 1983, at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Lud and Nora Sisk Jenkins.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillie Sisk Jenkins; five daughters, Mrs. Edna Johnston of Seat Pleasant, Md., Mrs. Ruth Embrey and Mrs. Phyllis Tapp, both of Bealeton, Mrs. Maggie Haught of Elkwood and Mrs. Beulah Sisk of Remington; four sons, James Jenkins, Hubert Jenkins and Charles Jenkins, all of Remington and Roger Jenkins of Gaithersburg,’ Md.; 34 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Conner Jenkins of Slate Mills and Cooper Jenkins of Culpeper and a sister, Mrs. Venie Jenkins of Culpeper.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by the Rev. Charles Clinedinst. Burial was in Remington Cemetery.
