“I shall return next year faster, stronger and better, and I shall take this team somewhere. That is my ultimate goal for my high school career” said junior Clarence Pendleton. “My goal is to play college ball at Georgetown University” added this high flying and always smiling fan of the Milwaukee Buck’s Sidney Moncrief.
Clarence has an explanation for his unusual style.” My basketball life started in a barn that used to be outside of Flint Hill. It had an amazing floor but it burned down a few years back. The reason I shoot my shots flatfooted is because the rim was only six feet.”
Dawson has plans for Pendleton next year.” He’s a great athlete and has the skills to play college ball,” the coach said. “He could score 15-20 points a game next year. He’s worked hard this year improving on all facets of the game and when he’s hot not many players can contain him.”
