Supervisor Wood interjected that Eastham didn’t need to resign just because they disagreed over use value taxation.
“I suggest we continue this public hearing (on the Wakefield ag district) until our next meeting,” added Supervisor Charles Estes. In addition to the proposal for a study of the impact of land use, he asked that Eastham bring the board information on the percentage of the school budget provided by the county and the cost per child for education. (Later, Estes explained that his request shouldn’t be interpreted as opposition to land use and expressed interest in estimates on the cost of providing services if all the acres now in forest, farm or open space were subdivided into ten or twenty acre lots and develODed.)
