Musical Play For Kids
Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music in Winchester will present its spring children’s theatre production, Don’t Count Your Chickens Until They Cry Wolf, on March 5, 6, 12 and 13 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays.
Directed by Linde’ Hayen Herman and billed as “a musical play for children of all ages and adults as young in heart as possible,” the play is based on Aesop’s fables.
Pancake Day At
Chester Gap
The Chester Gap Fire Department and Chester Gap Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a pancake day at the fire department on March 12 from 7:00 to 12:00.
Furnished for the $3.00 fee will be pancakes (all you can eat), sausage, coffee and milk.
New Virginians Coming
The New Virginians are coming back to Fauquier County and they are bringing BroacF way with them. The Virginia Tech show group will appear on March 26 at 8:00 p.m. in the Fauquier High School auditorium. The performance is sponsored by the Bealeton Remington Ruritan Club and tickets are available at any office of the State Bank of Remington or from any member of the club.
This season’s new show, “On Broadway With The New Virginians,” features musical favorites from such productions as “Oklahoma,” “Annie”, “The Roar of the Greasepaint,” “The Smell of the Crowd” and “The Music Man”, and country, patriotic, pop and top 40 tunes.
The New Virginians tour throughout Virginia and the surrounding states each year with 26 singers and dancers, an 11-piece show band and an extensive technical crew. The group has also toured nationally, released nine recordings and appeared on nationwide television.
