contestants. Amanda on Cinnamon Twist beat Diana on Little Munchkin. The very professional looking and riding duo of Or la Magee on Blizzard and Dawn Dugan on Sharp Start competed for the large pony division, with Sharp Start the winner.

Grand old steeplechaser Just A Tinch won the horse division for rider Woods Winants, repeating his victory four years ago for owner Rog Smithwick. Second was Poacher’s Gal, ridden by Charles Graham, over Peter Winants’ First Jim, ridden by Cricket Bedford.

Competitive Foxhunters

The Foxhunters’ ownerrider race had seven very competitive entries. Juliet Bishop’s Brigstock, winner at Casanova, led for the first mile. Then William Russell’s Mozambique went to the front and was never headed as they galloped across the mounainside. Sally Cunningham’s Mac Sub closed fast on the leader coming up the stretch but was two lengths behind at the wire. Brigstock was third.
