Donnie Johnston, the Culpeper News’ columnist in a cowboy hat, has been taking potshots at Rappahannock County for some time now.
He has described the county as the last bastion of Wild West lawlessness , despite the fact that Rappahannock’s crime rate is about a third of that posted by his home county of Culpeper.
If he doesn’t like us, that’s fine. We don’t want him to join the steady flow of immigrants who have fallen in love with Rappahannock - it’s mountains and its people.
