Editors Note: A few weeks ago, at the regular Jane school hoard meeting, School superintendent Robert Estahrook told hoard members that he would he addressing them in July on the controversial report hg the National Commission on Excellence in Education. Estahrook said that he would use the report, A Nation At Risk: The Imperative for Educational Reform, to examine present and future directions for county schools. Board members suggested that the Rappahannock News analyse the report so that citizens would have some background. We hope that all parents and educators who have not read the disturbing report will take time to do so
