Arts Show Scheduled
The Junior Woman’s ('lub of Fredericksburg will present “Arts in the Park" on Labor Day, September 5, at the City Park on William Street. Proceeds will benefit local charities.
Artists and craftsmen may receive applications by writing Judy Murphy, 1002 Clearview Ave., Fredericksburg, VA.*22405. Completed applications must be received by July 15, 1982.
July Gala At Lellews
The Chamber of Commerce of Front Royal and Warren County will hold its Second Annual July Cala on Sunday, July 2, at “Pel Aire”, the home of Nancy and Larry LoHew in Front Royal.
Beginning at 5 p.m. on Sunday of tin* July Fourth Weekend, the Gala will feature a pig roast, bar-b-qued chicken, beverages and a fireworks display. Music for the Gala will be provided by Royal Flush featuring Larry Lellevv, Red Rooster and Bottom Dollar. Door prizes to taling several thousand dollars will be awarded.
Tickets for the Gala must be purchased in advance from Chamber members or at the Chamber office on South Royal Avenue for $25 per couple. No tickets will lie available at t lagate.
Couples planning to attend should bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Again this year, WFTK Radio will provide patriotic music to accompany the 9:20 p.m. fireworksdisplay. Participants are reminded to bring a portable radio.
Benefit Auction
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Depart merit will hold a fund raising auction at the finhall in (Chester Gap at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 1.
Persons with items to donate can arrange pick up bv calling Bruce Williams at 025-1072 or Williams Grocery at 020-2027.
Contestants Wanted
Contestants are needed to vie for the honor of reigning as Sperryvilh* Volunteer Fire Department’s annual carnival pueen.
