James Dovel
Pape County Resident James Garfield Dovel, 59, of Shenandoah died Sunday, June 19. 1988, at his residence. He was born April 28, 1924, in Page County and was a son of the late Plina E. and Daisy Seekford Dovel.
Survivors include two sons, Garfield Lee Dovel and James Garfield Dovel, Jr., both of Luray; three daughters, Betty Jean Dodson of Rappahannock, Sarah Isabelle Chrisman of Stanley and Deloris Mowbray of Elkton; a sister, Virginia Belle Turner of Stanley; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray by the Rev. Kenzy Reed. Burial was in Alma Lutheran Cemetery. ■
