Robert Mortimore Nethers, 73, of Front Royal died Tuesday, June 21, 1983, in Front Royal.
Funeral serv ices were conducted on Friday at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Hoover Heflin. Burial was in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Nethers was born in Rappahannock County on June 27, 1909, the son of the late James Robert and Christie Hawkins Nethers. He was a retired driver for Trailways and a member of Five Forks Baptist Church.
He is survived by one adopted daughter, Kathy Huckaby of Texas; two brothers, Charles Henry Nethers of San Diego, Calif, and George Ashby Nethers of Front Royal; a sister, Fannie Nethers Burke of Woodville and three grandchildren.
