A Midsummer Night’s, Dream comes alive on stage in the round at Rappahannock County High School this weekend, November 11 and 12, in a special twonight engagement. The curtain rises on the bard’s classic comedy directed by Don Bomberger at 8 p.m. This is the first Shakespearean play to .be presented by the RCHS troupers.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is the tale of four Anthenian lovers. Their romances complicated by conflicting attachments, they meet in the woods at night. When Puck, a devilish spnte, lends a hand to smooth the tangled affections, a merry chase ensues. Day Closings
In observance of Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, state and county offices, post offices and banks will be closed.
Rappahannock’s public schools and most businesses, including the Rappahannock News, will remain open.

Potomac Edison spokesman Jim Poffenberger says the two incidents that left residents of Washington, Woodville and Boston without lights Monday night and Tuesday afternoon were not related. The separate problems simply affected the same circuit.
A fuse disconnected due to overheating Monday evening at the Sperryville substation, according to Poffenberger. Utility com1 pany workers had the fuse repaired within approximately half an hour leaving local homes and businesses in the dark from 5:48 until 6:32 p.m. Poffenberger said 1,432 customers were affected.
