As a new resident in the country and a person who has been concerned with the health of children for most of my professional career I have been delighted to serve on the Board of Directors of the Sursum Corda Day Care Program. In a recent issue of the Rappahannock News, the Board of Directors published the annual statement of income and expenditure for the Day Care Center for the community to review.
Sursum Corda provides an extraordinary service to Rappahannock County for young children. It is the only Day Care Center in the county offering a wide range of services for a rural area such as this. It allows parents to return to work and feel secure about the care of their young children. The program is one not only of day care but education, an environment where children can learn and grow with confidence.
