The wedding of Vickie Anne Manuel of Winchester, and Harry Stephen Miller of Roanoke, took place on Saturday, October 22, 1983, at 2 o’clock at the First Baptist Church in Winchester.
The bride is the daughter of Harry B. and Elma Morrison of Winchester. Mr. Miller’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Miller of Covington. The bride is also the daughter of Irvin V. Manuel of Rixeyville and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cary G. Thornhill of Boston.
Dr. Robert F. Woodward performed the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her stepfather and mother, the bride wore a traditional styled gown of , imported French alencon and Belgium schiffli on silk organza in candlelight ivory. The bodice featured a v-styled yoke of silk English net ascending to a formal Victorian collar of wedding band fashion, French alencon lace, opalescent sequins and tiny seed pearls embellished the Victorian neckline, long fitted sleeves, and an empire waistline.
