Snakes Spotlighted
The Rappahannock County Library will sponsor a special program on snakes tonight, Thursday, November 10, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
William Martin will lead the discussion on the life and habits of the timber rattler.
The public is invited to bring their favorite snake stories to share at this special program.
Chamber Music
Trombonist David Summers will present a recital for bass trombone on Monday, November 14 in Goodson Recital Hall at Winchester’s Shenandoah College and Conservatory at 8:30 p.m.
Benefit Dinner And Show
The Piedmont Technical Education Center chapter of the Home Economics Related Occupations club is sponsoring a dinner and show on Friday, November 18, to benefit the local chapter of The National Foundation - March of Dimes.
The menu will consist of turkey with dressing and gravy and ham, green beans, candied yams, cranberry sauce, a salad bar, hot rolls, desserts and beverages.
The show will offer modeling, singing, dancing and gymnastics.
The dinner and show will begin at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria at Piedmont, located on Route 15, south of Culpeper. Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door. To order advance tickets, call the school weekdays between, 8:30-3:30, at 825-0476.
