since its beginning in 1976 in the basement of the old Washington Post Office Building and is almost halfway towards the goal of raising enough funds to provide a new facility insuring a licensed program and better and expanded services for the community. I feel proud to be a part of the Child Care and Learning Center - Sursum Corda team. I have worked in the field of Child Development as a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Georgetown University for almost two decades and have a strong interest in the emotional well-being of young children. Sursum Corda stands as an important landmark in the growth of our county. The operation of a day care center is a major effort for any community and requires all of our support. I am glad to be a part of this effort.
