A reminder of Christmas past: needlecrafted gifts.
Mary Colucci, executive director of the National Need "ork Association, offers these suggestions for “the gift that comes from the heart and is made with the hands”:
• Decorate a shirt. Choose a blouse, T-shirt or sweatshirt and decorate it with beads, embroidery floss, metallic thread and stitchery.
• Knit a vest, scarf or mittens.
• Send a stitched Christmas card, a beaded and needleworked ornament or an angel worked in metallic thread.
