PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to Section 15.1 -431 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, and Article 17 of the Rapphannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, notice is hereby given that on December 18,1985 at 7:30 o’clock P.M. the Rappahannock County Planning Commission and the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will hold a joint public hearing at the Courthouse Building in the Town of Washington, Virginia to consider amendments to Article 2, Section 21-1 and 2-5-2(2) of the 1973 Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance The proposed amendments would (1) amend Section 2-1-1 to allow non-commercial kennels and animal shelters, including county facilities, as a use permitted by right in Agriculture Districts and (2) amend Section 2-5-2(2) to reduce rear yard set backs to 50 feet.
Pursuant to Section 15.1 -456 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended notice is hereby given that on December 18, 1985 at 7:30 o’clock P.M the Rappahannock County Planning Commission and the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will hold a joint public hearing at the Courthouse Building in the Town of Washington, to determine if the proposed location of the Rappahannock County Animal Shelter at ihe Old Scrabble School property is substantially in accordance with the 1980 Rappahannock County Comorehensive Plan. ^
Copies of the proposed amendments are on file at the office of the Clerk’s Office, Washington, Virginia and available for public inspection Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. All persons affected by these amendments may appear at this hearing to present their views.
This notice is being published in the Rappahannock News, a newspaper of general circulation in the County of Rappahannock, Virginia for two (2) suecessive weeks as required by the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended.
