At the ARB's November meeting, Mr. Kreyling told the board that Patrick O’Connell and Reinhardt Lynch, owners of The Inn, were installing the fence at the request of Mrs. Sisk, who wanted a fence which would not require maintenance, and which would match existing fence at the rear of her property.
The existing fence is a problem, agreed town attorney Frank Reynolds. "There are things all over town which do not fit with ARB guidelines. But that doesn’t keep the ARB and the council from saying that ’From now on we will enforce certain standards.’ That (existing) fence on the property creates a problem, but it doesn’t create the right to put more fence up.”
Mr. Reynolds added that since the fence is not actually on The Inn’s property, the violation could be construed in one of two ways: (1) That the fact that it has
