“It would be better if we didn’t have to store the sludge at all,” WSA member James Swindler re* sponded. “When it’s ready to pump, pump it and get it out of here!”
In other business at last Thursday’s meeting, the three WSA members present (Mr. Swindler, chairman Martin Woodard and Carson Johnson):
• Tabled awarding a service contract for repairs to the individual septic tank components of the system, pending further discussion with the two bidders, Roy Jenkins and Eddie Gore.
• Agreed to call the contractor for warranty service on the septic tank unit at Ronnie Pullen’s residence.
• Heard from accountant Dennis Bailey that “everything went fine” on the audit of grant funds. “It was a real treat working on the books,” Mr. Bailey told the Authority.
• Approved seasonal rate reduction requests from H. B. Burke for Country Elegance, John Eubank for a two-family apartment which has been converted to a single family residence, George Hawkins for the Apple House and the Swindlers for Beech Springs Fruit Stand.
