Speech therapy at CCLC >

The Rappahannock Speech and Learning Clinic will offer speech therapy, learning disability remediation and educational tutoring for children and adults at CCLC.

Sid and Margaret Gottleib, the clinic’s director and teacher, will arrange for appointments either days or evenings. Fees are charged on a sliding scale based on income. Please call 675-3237 for more information.

Basket class scheduled

Local fiber artist Janet Kerig will conduct a basketweaving at the Middle Street Gallery April 2, 9 and 16 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The three-session class will be devoted to completing an Appalachian melon basket with a grapevine handle and natural dyed splints. ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’

The movie Jumpin’ Jack Flash will be playing at the Gay Street Theatre Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29, at 7:30 p.m. The movie stars Whoopi Goldberg, Carol Kane and Jonathan Pryce. Whoopi Goldberg gives another virtuoso performance as a computer operator who intercepts a Mayday from a British agent who is trapped behind the Iron Curtain. She becomes involved in the intrigue and infuses this action comedy with her own non-stop energy. The movie is rated R. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
