From the Rec Center, groups will disperse to target areas to clean up the county’s worst eyesores. The cleanup will go until 2 p.m., when the volunteers will return to the Rec Center.

There, food and drink supplied by McDonald’s of Culpeper and RALLY! will await the hungry litter-pickers. Entertainment will be supplied by Marque Kolack, a professional mime, comedian and musician, who will MC a brief program.

All participants will also receive a handsome red or blue imprinted T8hirt to commemorate the event.

In addition to food, McDonald’s is also supplying trash bags, which are also being donated by the Virginia Department of Transportation. The highway department, as well as several individuals, have also volunteered to donate trucks to haul the bagged litter away.

He suggested that anyone with Suggestions for target areas, or who wishes to participate in the cleanup (alone or with a group) call the zoning office in Washington (675-3342) with that information. His office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. If.1 Mr. Chuse added that although this is RALLYl’s first activity, he hopes that it will be the kickoff for "an ongoing, year-round program.
