Spaghetti dinner
The Ami8sville Volunteer Fire Department will be sponsoring an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner on March 28 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults, $2.50 for 5-12 years old and 4 and under eat free. Call 937-4357 for additional information.
Photo session rescheduled
Please note that the picture-taking session scheduled for March 28 at the Baptist Church has been rescheduled for April 2 and 3 from 4*10 p.m. each day. Each person will be contacted.
Sue Slaughter Group meets
The spring meeting of the Sue Slaughter Group of the Shiloh Association Woman’s Missionary Union will be held at the Forest Grove Baptist Church on Thursday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. The program will consist of reports from the state meeting held March 10-11 in Salem and a slide presentation on Camp Little Cross Roads, the WMU camp near Lowesville in Amherst County. All members are urged to be present and pastors and other friends are invited.
Loan Closet organizational meeting
The Rappahannock Loan Closet will have an organizational meeting on Tuesday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at the courthouse in Washington. The primary purpose of the group is to lend their equipment to those needing the service. All residents of Rappahannock with a need should contact any Loan Closet member.

Registration scheduled
Registration for the 1987 Amissville Little League will be held at Stuart’s Field on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to noon for ages 6 to 16. For additional infpnpation call 937-4353,937-5218 or 937-4606.
Piano lessons at CCLC *
Instruction for beginning and intermediate piano students will be offered, by appointment, with Susan Hunt, a graduate of Yale University with a BA in music. Lesson times are available in both day 'and evening hours. Call CCLC (675-3237) to arrange a time. The cost is $7 per one-half hour.
Bloodmobile to be in Washington
The Red Cross bloodmobile will be at the Washington fire hall on Monday, May 4. All types of bloodstrs needed, and area residents are urged to participate. The bloodmobile is sponsored by the Rappahannock Extension Homemakers Council.
GED assistance available
Rappahannock County residents desiring to obtain a general equivalency diploma (GED) may obtain free and private assistance from members of Rappahannock Literacy Volunteers. Tutors qualified to help persons complete requirements for the high school equivalency diploma may be contacted through the volunteer organization.
Anyone seeking more information about the Literacy program is invited to attend the group’s open meeting Friday, April 3, at 9 a.m. in the Child Care and Learning Center. Information, may be obtained by calling Mrs. Penny Grant at 675-3061 or Mrs. Marion Simpson at 9878609.
Business Council to meet
The Washington Business Council will meet Thursday, April 2, at 6:15 p.m. at Heritage House. All members are urged to attend.
Old Dominion Point-to-Point
The Old Dominion Hunt will hold its annual Point-to-Point Saturday, April 11, at the Ben Venue Race course, 16 miles west of Warrenton off Rt. 211. The pairs race will begin at 10 a.m. and the first flat race starts at noon. Purses will total $2000, split between novice timber and maiden hurdle races.
