Celebrating the Fourth
ThteTown of Washington will hold its annual Fourth of July celebration again this year. Although a volunteer committee of town residents has tken over the evening program from William Carrigan, Mr. and Mrs. Carrigan once again invite the public to enjoy a patriotic program on the grounds of Avon Hall, beginning around dinnertime. The day's activities will once again be sponsored by and benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire Department.

Warrenton's Moving Arts Center will sponsor a summer dance festival featuring students, faculty and guests artists from
^ Shenandoah Conservatory on Friday, June 10 at Fauquier High School. The - performance begins at 8 p.m. The program will also feature the premiers of two dances by center director Laura Crowne and Warrenton attorney Jodi Brandon.
Eat for a healthy heart
Fauquier Hospital will sponsor three workshops designed to help individuals lower their cholesterol levels through proper diet and nutrition. There will be afternoon sessions on June 15, 22 and 29 from 2-4 p.m., and evening sessions on June 21,28 and July 5 from 7-9 p.m. The cost is $30. Acreage deadline nears
The Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service reminds county farmers that the deadline to certify their crop acreages is June 15. Farmers who fail - to file the necessary reports with the ASCS office in Washington will be ineligible for benefits under the agency's acreage reduction programs.
