Sperryville carnival
The Sperry ville Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual carnival June 14-18 at the fire hall on Rt. 211 west. Tuesday and Wednesday are Family Nights, with all rides all night for one $5 ticket. On Friday the firemen’s parade will begin at 7 p.m. On Saturday night the carnival queen will be crowned, drawings will be held and the grand prize winner announced.

Ole Hollow reunion planned
Families, friends and community members are invited to attend the annual Ole Hollow reunion on Sunday, June 26, at noon at Thornton’s Gap Regular Baptist Church near Sperryville. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and a beverage. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
‘Wall Street’
The movie Wall Street will be playing at the Gay Street Theater Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, at 7:30 each evening. The film stars Academy Award winner Michael Douglas (best actor), Charlie Sheen, Martin Sheen and Daryl Hannah. In this sensationally entertaining melodrama about greed and corruption in New Vork, awardwinning director Oliver Stone evokes the itch, the fever, and arrogance of New York at the height of the bull market - Wall Street before the crash. The movie is rated R. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children
All-Star Revue
RAAC’s annual summer variety show, the popular All-Star Revue, is coming to the Gay Street Theater on Saturday, June 25. Directed by Hazel Zinn-Day and Laurie Marshall, the show will feature astonishing local talent in song, dance and performance. Tickets, available at the box office, are $4, $5, and $6.50. Show time is 8 p.m.
