To the editor:
I must take issue with some of the ideas expressed in your recent article on the “Inner Peace Movement.” Anyone who is too lazy to subject his “hunches” to the “mental gymnastics” of rational thought deserves the confusion to which he is doomed.
Are these people really telling me that the intellect is “like the front wheels steering the car which is your feelings”? Surely they have got it backwards. (I hope these people never feel like strangling somebody, or that they have lawyers who are better at explaining or apologizing for this “Inner Peace Movement.”) This sounds to me like an excuse Charles Manson might have used.
