of the outstanding speakers were the Secretary of Labor and Secretary of Education. Representing the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter to' the Congress were: Regent Fairfax, Mrs. Edgar Puryear, Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Mrs. Nelson Lane and Mrs. Thomas Eastham. Mrs. Dale Metzinger was recognized for her outstanding work with Lineage Research. She tied for first place with a chapter in New York for outstand-’ ing geneology work.
Fifty persons were present for this May meeting of the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, six of whom were guests as follows: Mrs. Charles R. Haugh, State Regent; Mrs. H.T.N. Graves, ViceState Regent; Mrs. Philip Keller, State Chaplain; Mrs. Arthur F. Stocker, District VI Director; Mrs. Lewis Johnson, State Chairman of Speaker’s Staff; Mrs. Joseph Amond, Regent of John Rhoades Chapter of Luray.
Mrs. Edgar Puryear entertained these guests at a luncheon prior to the meeting and following the meeting the guests were honored at a tea. at the home of Mrs. Eastham.
