score of college-bound seniors is 880 (out of a possible 1600). Kristen’s combined verbal and math score was more than 1200, a score which qualified her for high honors at the awards ceremony held at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg.
Two other Wakefield seventh graders, Courtney Beeton of Markham and Jessica Rich of Upperville, won state awards for their performance in the examinations. In addition to the three prize winners, 10 other Wakefield seventh graders, all students of Pamela Lynn, won commendation for having scored above the national average for collegebound seniors.
