Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake the pastry until golden brown 15 to 20 minutes. Serve within a few hours or freeze.
Place a circle of baked pastry on a platter or on each dessert platfe if you made individual ones. Cover the pastry with sliced strawberries. Place another pastry circle over the berries. Cover the second circle with' sliced strawberries and garnish with whipped cream. Decorate the top with whole strawberries and pretty leaves such as mint, or better still, strawberry leaves. Makes 6 servings.
