School Board
names Tupper
as vice-principal

Raye Tupper will be the new assistant principal at Rappahannock County Elementary School, the administration announced last week.
Mrs. Tupper comes to Rappahannock County from Prince William Middle School in Farmville where she has been assistant principal for two years.
Mrs. Tupper grew up in Rappahannock County and taught kindergarten here for one year before she was married. Since then she has taught kindergarten, first grade and Title I reading, mostly in Southside counties.
She has a B.S. in elementary education from Longwood College and a Masters of Fine Arts in reading, also from Longwood. She has an educational specialist degree in administration and supervision from the University of Virginia.
Mrs. Tupper’s appointment was only one of several actions the School Board took on personnel at last week’s regular monthly board meeting. The board accepted the resignations of Mary Ann Biggs, Justine Rosenbaum,
