participate in a National Wider Opportunity in Scouting and Janet DeRoo of Huntly will participate as a staff member. The activity takes place from June 21 to July 11 and is sponsored by the Greater Minneapolis Girl Scout Council. The event, Voyageurs’ Rendezvous, will be held at Old Fort William, Ontario, Cananda, and the Boundary Water Canoe Area in northern Minnesota.
The dual lane section of Route 211 at Amissville opened to traffic yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. Residents of that area and all motorist traveling through are urged to be careful and thoughtful when entering the highway from driveways and side roads, and remember that the change has been made.

The Board of Supervisors,
during a work session on the 1985-86 county budget June 12, decided to “pursue the idea” of hiring a county administrator. No money, however, was allocated in the 1985-86 budget for the position. At an earlier work session June 10 the Board postponed discussion of whether to hire a county administrator because of Supervisor Charles K. Estes’ absence. The Board has treated the matter with some urgency because of the affect its decison would have on the ’85-86 budget.
James Madison University awarded more than 1,900 degrees in its recent spring graduation ceremonies. Degree recipients from Rappahannock include: Steven L. Hensley of Castleton; Jeffrey S. Andrews of Washington and Lindsay W. Eastham of Washington.
