has been cited for fifty years service as a registered nurse. The citation, a pin and letter of commendation, came from the Alumni Association of the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. It said in part, “this is a token of appreciation for your many years of untiring service in the healing arts.
The Circus is coming Sperryville. Royson Bros. Big Top Circus will exhibit, July 3 and 4 at the Sperryville Carnival grounds under the auspices of Sperryville Vol. Fire Dept., according to Fire Chief Donald B. Gore. A one-hour and 30-minute night performance will be presented at 8 p.m. July 3rd and at 2:30 and 8 p.m. July 4th, Chief Gore announced.

John Alexander of Flint Hill
completed and won his buckle on the Old Cominion 100 mile Endurance Ride in Leesburg on June 21. Riding his gray 14.3 hand, 890 pound Arabian gelding, Abadurra, he finished the ride in 23 hours, 43 minutes.
David W. Streagle has received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska in criminal justice. He is a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps with which he has served 18 years, having assignments in Vietnam, Hawaii, Formosa and other Pacific areas.
