A funeral service was held at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville on June 15. The Rev. Walter B. Scott of Culpeper officiated. Interment was in the family section of the church cemetery. W.C. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mary V. Carmack Mary Virginia Carmack, of Greenwood Farm, Washington, died Friday, June 15 in the Lynn Care Center. The funeral was held Tuesday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Front Royal with Father William F. Ruehl officiating. Burial was in Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas. Mrs. Carmack was born in Horse Cave, Ky., the daughter of the late Marcus Augustus and Lucy Randall Lay. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Mission in Washington. Survivors include her husband, Armistead Reade Carmack; a nephew, Alfred William Perkins, Jr. of Alexandria; a grand niece, Leslie Perkins and one grand nephew, Alfred William Perkins III.
