The Rappahannock County Public School Division is dedicated to the concept of continual improvement.
As an institutional value, the school division believes that all can learn and improve. That is, students are expected to continually improve academically, intellectually, and socially. Classified and professional staff are expected to continually learn new skills and find ways to improve upon the performance of their specific tasks. The entire institution has an obession for improvement and improved performance.
One example of the desire for improvement is expressed in the nunv ber of professional staff members who are currently pursuing advanced degrees. Teaching is more than a full time job when the amount of preparation time and grading time is calculated with the in-school time. Even after the professional time commitment, many Rappahannock ! teachers still commit themselves to sponsoring and coaching student activities and sporting events.
In addition, forty-one Rappahannock professionals, or 50 percent of the professional instructional staff, are working on advanced professional degrees.
