Larson says in the affidavit that he believes the conversations are “referring to . . . purchasing drugs," “asking Allison to help him locate a supplier,” “contacting [. . .] in an attempt to obtain cocaine,” “referring to marijuana,” and otherwise transacting drug deals.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jay Apperson, who is prosecuting Allison’s gun felonies, would not “confirm or deny” aspects of the case, saying Al. lison is “the subject of an ongoing grand jury investigation.”
The affidavit, said Apperson, “speaks for itself. ”
Allison’s lawyer, Alexandria attorney Jonathan Shapiro, said he asked that the affidavit be unsealed “so I can see what basis the police had for going in there.” He would not otherwise comment on the case or the affidavit.
Apperson said Shapiro’s motions to unseal the affidavits bn which searches of six other properties were based was opposed by him.
Shapiro, Allison’s third lawyer in the gun case, would not say if he was retained or court-appointed.
Motions on the gun possession charges are set for Feb. 15.
Apperson and other law enforcement officials have stated that more charges are forthcoming in the case. Allison has not been charged with any drug offenses.
