• Heard that Water Authority director Brad Fisher is still awaiting an engineering report on the requirements for the new town well, and that a drilling contract will be awarded after the specifications are cleared up. Mr. Reynolds reported that title work related to the town’s water system upgrade has almost been completed.
• Took no action on a suggestion by Mr. Morehouse that the council plan its activities in advance, to avoid getting stuck in a crush of duties. He noted that within the next year the council will consider revisions to the subdivision ordinance, a mandated revision of the comprehensive plan, possible revisions to the historic district ordinance and a recodification of the town’s zoning ordinances.
Councilman Mark Bailey suggested that the council request ideas from the town’s residents about what they would like to see accomplished.
