Town Planning Commission Chairman Louise van Dort said the purpose of having a professional planner review the ordinance is “to make sure we haven’t dug any holes for ourselves.”
She said she did not expect the planner to recommend any dramatic changes, but if he does the public hearing will not have to be readvertised since it was continued rather than adjourned.
The main effect of the new ordinance would be to prohibit off-site septic drainfields for'newly created subdivision lots. Under the proposed ordinance the planners will not consider an application for a subdivision creating any new lots unless all lots have a plat showing the location of both a primary and secondary sewage drainfield for a three bedroom
