There are currently 76,000 acres enrolled in the CRP in Virginia. Approximately 3,000 farm owners receive $3.4 million per year in CRP payments, an average of $51 per acre enrolled.

A meeting has been set up for March. 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brandy Station Fire Station in Culpeper County to explain the 1990 Farm Act to participating farmers and other members of the public. Conservation provisions will be discussed at the meeting, with the Conservation Reserve Program receiving major emphasis.
