many state regents went on a bus tour, visiting the five schools supported by the DAR located in the Appalachian Mountains. Mrs. Puryear was a member of the group and recorded the trip with a video camera. From the two hundred hours of footage, she condensed the trip into a forty-five minute program, one hundred copies of which were sold to chapters across the country and sixty to tour participants. The profit of $150 was sent through this chapter to Tamas'see School to be used for kitchen equipment in memory of Virginia Rucker Crigler, recently deceased Regent of this chapter.
The next meeting on March 10 will be the annual Awards Tea for the Presentation of Good Citizens and American History Awards. It will be on Sunday at 2:30 at the United Methodist Church in Culpeper.
