Bush’s ultimatum of Feb. 21, seizing and murdering hundreds of Kuwaiti citizens.
These actions and others, all counter to the UN Charter, the Geneva Conventions and international law, make it clear the world faces an international terrorist and outlaw.
We are grateful to, and all Americans should thank, President Bush for his courage and firmness in creating the coalition and leading it through the valley of death. We thank all the military forces, Americans and of other nations, for their bravery and dedication in doing what is necessary to stop Saddam Hussein’s madness.
Now the President should go one step further. Based on the above, President Bush should ask the UN Security Council to declare: Saddam Hussein an international outlaw and criminal; Iraq, so long as Saddam remains its leader, a state with which no UN member will deal; and that those sanctions will be lifted when Iraq delivers Saddam Hussein to the United Nations for a public trial before the International Court of Jus tice/ World Court.
