New to most of us was the music of Richard Squires, a resident of The Plains, performed on a Kurzweil, a sampling key-board, which accompanied his singing and that of soprano Marilyn Dereggi. Mr. Squires presented segments from what he designates “a comic opera,” called “Apollyon.”

A full performance would include actors and singers as well as scenes projected onto a screen. We heard music, singing and a description of what his opera portrays. The demands, thus, on the audience were great.
