Isabelle Smith
Isabelle Jett Smith, 80, of Strasburg, formerly of Winchester, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1991 at the Shenandoah County Memorial Hospital.
The funeral was conducted Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Esbie Baptist Church in Strasburg by the Rev. Ronald Williams and the Rev. Carter L. Alsberry Jr. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was bom March 15, 1910 in Amissville, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Sims Jett. She was a member of the Esbie Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late Lewis Douglas Smith.
Surviving are one foster daughter, Anna Myers of Strasburg; one sister, Martha A. Payton of Charles Town, W.Va. and one brother, Charles Payton of Winchester.
Pallbearers were Robert Jackson, Lewis Newman, George Nickens, Mike Renzy, Ray Mitchell and Robert Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers were Curt Strother Jr., Robert Strother, Fred Jackson and William Wallace.
Stover Funeral Home in Strasburg was in charge of the arrangements.
Aubrey Baldwin
Aubrey Lee Baldwin, 57, of Washington,** D.C. died Monday, Feb. 18, 1991 at his residence.
Mr. Baldwin was bom Aug. 22, 1933 in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Oscar E. Baldwin and Sarah E. Molden. He was a self-employed contractor.
