The Chesapeake Bay Watershed is one of three priority areas in the United States which have been targeted for the current signup.

It is riot necessary to bid entire fields into the CRP. Filter strips, sod waterways, shelter belts and contour grass strips are eligible. Some producers in the Chesapeake Bay watershed may be able to enroll buffer strips mandated by the Chesapeake Bay program.
