Five and a half weeks following the start of the Persian Gulf War, and Iraq’s refusal to abide by United Nations resolutions, the United States and other coalition countries began a land war over the weekend to force Iraq to leave Kuwait. As of Sunday evening, reports indicated light casualties among allied troops and more than 10,000 Iraqi prisoners-of-war taken. We continue to pray for peace and safety of our troops.
In Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) news, Little League tryouts begin at 10 a.m. this Saturday at Stuart Field. Anyone who did not sign up yet, may still do so on Saturday at Stuart Field. Bring birth certificate along.
