C.M. Crockett Park in Midland offers nature camps for children in grades 3 to 5, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 29 to Aug. 9, twilight walks through the park beginning June 25, educational programs for children three to five and medieval festivals filled with magic and puppet extravaganza on June 29, besides boat rentals and evenings in the park.
Combining efforts with Fauquier Amateur Radio Association, the park offers an amateur radio field day on June 29 and an educational evening with Fauquier Hospital representatives instructing on “Nutrition, Heat and Sun” on June 24 at the Marshall Community Center.
