Town won't raise
taxes for '92 budget By MARKSCOLFORO Rappahannock Neva Staff Writer The Washington Town Council approved its budget last week and won’t require new taxes. According to town treasurer Brad Fisher, revenues for the current fiscal year will even exceed expectations, leaving a surplus of a few thousand dollars. “I hope Brad does as good next year as he did last year,” joked Mayor Dean Morehouse. The Water Department budget was also approved last Wednesday during the regular meeting of the council.
In other business, the Town Council: • Voted to advertise four lots be considered by the Board of Supervisors for possible town-county boundary adjustment: the Lump lot, the Odd Fellows lot, the Butler lot and the Smoot lot. A public hearing will be held with the supervisors in August. See COUNCIL, p. A-6
