hss recorded three 90 degree days the average high temperature for the month is 81.1 degrees while, in 1988, 10 days reached the 90 mark or higher, creating an average for that month of 83.4 degrees.

“In 1987, we recorded three days of 90 degree temperatures and the average high was 84.1,” Mr. Wingfield explained, adding the month overall in 1987 had several days with high-80-degree temperatures.

“On June 15, 1990, the high was 67 degrees,” he said with laughter, a 25 degree difference from this year’s Saturday temperatures.

He added the high for June 16, 1990 was only 85 degrees, eight degrees lower than this past weekend’s high.
