The performance group has also scheduled other events in Rappahannock to coincide with the play, including:
• A workshop for children: “Gifts of the Animal Helpers.”
The workshop is being presented by members of the “Standing On Fishes” cast from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, June 22 at the Child Care and Learning Center in Washington. Through movement and imagination, the children will become animals and will then create animal masks. They will be able to experience what gifts the animals bring to them.
The workshop is for children ages 5-12, cost is $8 with materials provided. Parents are welcome. It is being sponsored by RAAC, CCLC, Spring Mountain School and the Mothering Cooperative.
