Latin team places third
The Latin 3 team at WCDS placed third out of 12 teams at the W.T. Woodson Certamen held Saturday, Jan. 11, in Fairfax.
The WCDS team was comprised of Sandeep Ranade (Culpeper), Christa Franklin (Charles Town) and Daniel Logie (Front Royal).
Wakefield Country Day’s Latin II Experienced team, Ted by Welby Lynn (Washington) placed fifth out of 12 teams. Matthew Kravitz (Warrenton) and Raymond Franklin (Charles Town) were also on the Latin II team.
Nick Konick of Washington headed the Latin I Experienced team. He was joined by fellow seventh graders Bridget Hickson (Front Royal) and Laura Cowherd (Culpeper).
The nine WCDS competitors were accompanied by their teacher/coach, Kay Larrieu.
