Our son Christopher, who is 20, and our daughter, Marcy, who is 15, were severely injured in a head-on collision on U.S. 522 south of Sperryville.
The response of the county’s emergency crews was immediate and effective. From what we have been told, virtually every rescue squad in the county was on the accident scene, including the Amissville Rescue §quad, the Sperryville Rescue Squad, the Castleton Rescue Squad, the Washington Rescue Squad and the Sperryville Fire Department. There may have been others that we are not aware of.
